Here at Oasis we love art making in many forms! Art Therapy is our passion! We love Art Journaling as it is a method to create art individually but alongside others who share this joy of expressing ourselves through art making. In our Art Journaling workshop, you can come into the studio and create personal art. Art journaling is a fun way to express the things we may not say out loud but mean something to us. All supplies are included just bring yourself and your heart and creative mind! If we get enough interest we will be doing this on a monthly basis.

This workshop is a drop in from 7-9 during the Lynn Arts GALA show.
This watercolor workshop is an opportunity for the beginner to learn the medium in an abstract format to avoid our inner critic from stating " That doesn't look like.....!" So we play and learn or simply practice. Watercolor is a fun medium that allows us to explore color combinations and how they blend as well as take on new shapes and forms. We will also be adding ink to our watercolor to explore the contrast in these two mediums. This is a fun workshop for beginners and also for experienced artists to enjoy playing!

What you’ll learn: A basic recipe, and the skills and practices of how to make your own batch of soap.

Tia Cole of Hervor Soaps will take you through her favorite soap recipe – a hands on experience for people that want to make soap but are nervous about the process. You’ll go through a recipe, and show the process of how to calculate and mix a batch of soap. Everyone will be leave with knowledge, recipe card and their own bar of Hervor Soaps.

Create beautiful jewelry from our collection of sea glass. We will learn and practice drilling and create pendants that can go on necklaces or bracelets.

Bring your own pictures and well teach you how to transfer them onto a slate tile. Makes a great housewarming or wedding gift!

We’re activating transpARTation from station to station in this unique regional transit experience! Rush Hour can be enjoyable when you’re riding through waves of art. To kick off ArtWeek, we’ll put an artistic regional touch on the purple rail trail to give you a glimpse of what some of your favorite North Shore destinations have in store for you that week. Enjoy live music, watch paintings come together before your very eyes, and release your inner Picasso with the chance to create some art of your own on each commuter rail platform. Though our programs will cause you to veer off the tacks, art and transit continue to keep us connected.

Bring your shirt and we supply the rest. We will share our favorite cutting and weaving techniques, a simple no-sew way to upcycle clothes that have become mis-shapen or were a little (or a lot) too big in the first place.

Printmaking with watercolor and ink.

This is a way to create our own prints from the design you create yourself. After printmaking we will paint with watercolor to create a beautiful piece of art.

"I HEAR YA" Listening to each other, couples communication workshop. during this workshop the couple will learn the value of listening to their partner, the power of distraction and interrupting, Learn about the ancient indigenous peoples tradition of the talking stick. How to use and make one for your family. this work incorporates roleplay, and artmaking as a couple. It is very enlightening and fun to do as a couple.
