We at OASIS hope to bring art and creativity to a diverse community, allowing the individuals to express themselves while connecting with other artistic people in groups, workshops, or in an open studio experience.

Christie Connolly
Founder, LMHC

 Christie Connolly is a License Mental Health Counselor/Art Therapist/Owner of OASIS. She graduated with a MA, from Lesley University in 2013 and it has been her dream since to own and practice her counseling in an open studio setting.   “ I believe that along with art therapy, the making of art is in many ways a therapeutic experience and am so excited to share this studio and the creative process with a diverse community of people “   She is proud mom of a beautiful grown daughter Paris who lives in California, and a sweet puppy named Biz. For fun she likes to paint abstract art and show her work from time to time. She enjoys walks with the sweet boy Biz in the nice weather.

Carolyn Hoy
Administration

 Carolyn grew up in Lynn, graduating from Lynn Tech in the Graphic Arts Program. She worked for a publishing company for 25 years as graphic artist, pre-press manager and eventually operations manager. When the company was sold, she got her degree in Graphic Design while managing a busy Lynn church office then as a production/project manager for a print management company. She is currently an accounting student and works part time in a small office setting up mailings, brochures, newsletters, keeping website current and some bookkeeping and account management.

Tia Cole
Social Media & Instructor

 Tia is the OASIS Project Manager  and and instructor. As a wife, mother, and daughter of artist she's grown into a support role for those with a creative mindset. You can find her working closely with, Creative Collective, Artist Row Salem, and other local arts programs and commissions. Tia is also an all natural, small batch, soap maker. Jack Girardi
Instructor

 Jack Girardi is a recent graduate from Lesley University with a Masters in Professional Counseling. He believes in including activism and advocacy in his counseling work. Jack also believes in the importance of Art, Feminist Theory, and Internal Family Systems and electively incorporates these aspects into the sessions to help meet the individual’s unique needs. It is Jack’s goal as a counselor to help his clients achieve their highest version of self while simultaneously helping make the world a more safe and inclusive space for everyone to thrive. Everyone regardless of their LGBTQ+ identity, race, religion, age, ableism, and/or gender identity is welcome!   Pronouns: He/Him/His

 Elizabeth has a Masters in Expressive Therapy and mental health counseling with a specialization in Art Therapy from Lesley University. Her experience ranges from working with preschool aged children, to latency aged children, and adolescents. She has worked with special needs populations including children with autism.  She has also worked with adults living with chronic mental illness in an inpatient setting using an open studio model of art therapy.
